Teacher of class II has to teach about food chains to the students today. The students will
go to the zoo across the road. They are disciplined to walk in a queue. They are told by
the teacher to bring the lunch of fruit only to have a clue about food chain among plants,
animals and human being. By looking at the animals, teacher tells that food chains show
how energy moves. When something eats something else the energy moves. We need
energy to move and grow. All food chains start from the sun. The sun feeds the plants.
Plants make their own food using the sun, water and soil. Some animals get their energy
by eating these plants. The animals like goats and kangaroo eat these plants. Some
animals get energy from the animals they eat. Tiger and lion get their energy by eating
these animals.

and played a lot. They all had a picnic near the duck pond. Sarah and Tim fed the ducks
with bread crumbs. They had a great time at the zoo and took many pictures. After the
zoo, they went home and told their grandmother all about their day.
