Student Development Program (SDP) – Coding Skills

Objective
To enhance coding skills among 2nd and 3rd year students through a structured, peer-to-
peer learning model with continuous practice and monitoring.

Program Structure

1. Core Team (Artigenz Trainers)


- 5–6 members from Artigenz will design the complete program flow.
- Responsibilities:
• Prepare weekly topics & resources (learning + practice).
• Train and guide selected student leaders.
• Monitor progress of all batches.

2. Student Leaders (Mentors)


- 5–6 students selected from each class.
- Responsibilities:
• Receive training from Artigenz members.
• Teach their classmates in small batches (7–8 students each).
• Ensure batchmates complete practice tasks.

3. Batch Students (Learners)


- Entire class is divided into small groups of 7–8 students.
- Responsibilities:
• Attend weekly sessions from their student leader.
• Practice coding problems on platforms like HackerRank and LeetCode.
• Actively participate and complete assigned work.

Weekly Flow
1. Topic Introduction (by Artigenz to Student Leaders).
2. Batch Sessions (Student Leaders teach their batch in class).
3. Practice Work (coding problems related to that week’s topic).
4. Progress Check (weekly evaluation by Artigenz team through quizzes, problem
submissions, or discussions).

Learning & Practice Resources


- Learning Sources:
• Structured notes, recorded lectures, YouTube playlists, online tutorials.
- Practice Sources:
• HackerRank, LeetCode, Codeforces problems aligned with the topic.
Evaluation & Monitoring
- Weekly progress reports from student leaders.
- Coding challenges or mini-quizzes for batches.
- Continuous guidance and support by Artigenz team.

Expected Outcomes
- Strong coding foundation for 2nd and 3rd years.
- Improved problem-solving skills through regular practice.
- Leadership and teaching experience for Student Leaders.
- Culture of peer-to-peer learning within the department.
