My name is Laura, and I am 30 years old. I strongly believe that banning mobile
phones in schools is one of the best decisions a school can make. As a 30-year-old,
I have seen how much of a distraction phones can be, and I know how difficult it is
to concentrate when notifications are constantly buzzing. If students are not
allowed to use phones in school, they can finally give their full attention to the
teacher and to their studies.
I also believe that banning phones makes school a safer and more positive
environment. When I was younger, I remember hearing about cases of cyberbullying,
where students would send mean messages during lessons. If phones are not allowed,
this problem is greatly reduced, and children can focus on building real
friendships.
Another reason I support the ban is that it encourages face-to-face communication.
Students can learn to talk with one another directly instead of staring at screens.
In the long run, this improves social skills and confidence.

My name is Ryan, and I am 16 years old. I personally believe that banning mobile
phones in schools is unfair and unhelpful. As a 16-year-old student, I rely on my
phone for many useful things, and I think schools should teach us to use technology
responsibly instead of banning it completely.
I believe mobile phones can be very helpful for learning. For example, I often use
my phone to search for information, check definitions, or use apps that make
studying easier. Without my phone, I feel limited and less prepared. Teachers
sometimes say phones are only distractions, but I know they can also be powerful
learning tools.
Another reason I disagree with the ban is safety. Parents feel better knowing they
can reach their children in emergencies. If something happens at school, I want to
be able to contact my family quickly. Without a phone, this becomes difficult.
Finally, mobile phones help me stay organized. I use reminders, calendars, and
notes to keep track of my homework. Taking that away just makes life harder.
