1. What are the factors that influenced you to take an engineering course?
- I was aware in the consideration of an engineering course alongside my passion for
problem-solving toward any situation and thought behind how they function. Creating
interventions toward a better way of living was something I always cherished, and
engineering gives the perfect blend of aesthetics and reason for doing so. Importantly,
the strong demand for engineers and opportunities to be part of such innovations further
persuaded me to choose this career.
2. How do you decide on matters related to your studies?
- I will take practical decisions regarding my studies by setting clear goals and
identifying important tasks with deadlines. I also consider their potential for either
improving my strengths or tackling areas of improvement in order to manage my time
such effectively. I seek advice from professors or classmates for better-informed
choices when in a difficult dilemma.
3. Despite the current situation, what made you enroll and continue studying despite the
pandemic?
- Although difficulties arose due to a pandemic, I enrolled and pursued studies since I
consider education an investment for life. I thought it was best to keep busy and work
toward my goals during uncertain times. To learn online was hard at first, but with
conviction and a strong desire to succeed and adapt, I made it through.
4. What challenges do you experience while taking up an online class? How were you able to
overcome these challenges?
- One of the primary challenges I encountered with online classes was maintaining focus
and motivation while not in a live classroom setting. Online classes were impacted, at
times, by technical issues such as a poor internet connection which made it difficult to
attend or engage with some lessons. These challenges were overcome by establishing
a daily routine, creating a distraction-free study area, and by communicating directly
with teachers and classmates. Furthermore, effective organization and disciplined work
habits helped to manage time and movement through the curriculum.
