Have you ever encountered an unexpected issue on a job, such as incorrect

measurements or material defects? How did you handle it?

0:11:

Yes. I have. In construction or any hands on job, unexpected issue are quite
common. One time, we receive a batch of drywall seal. That was slightly
damaged at the edge. At first, it wasn't obvious, But once we started
installations, we realized the defects could affect the final finish.

0:28:

Instead of stopping everything, I quickly inform my supervisors. And we

check how much of the materials could still be used for cut or smaller
sections. For the badly damaged ones, we documented it with photo and
contact the suppliers for a replacement. Meanwhile, we adjust our workflow
to focus on other parts of the project.

0:49:
To avoid delays. It taught me the importance of staying calm thinking on my
feet, and communicating clearly with the team and suppliers. Problems
happens, but how we handles them is what really count.

a misunderstanding or ensure a project ran smoothly?

1:14:

Yes. I've experienced that before. One time at work, there were a
misunderstanding between the team members about which area we are
supposed to restock first.

1:24:

One person thought we were focusing on our front this display while other
started organizing the back slips and it was caused confusions, and we were
falling behind schedule. And I stepped in and politely asked everyone to
pause for a moment and act explains what I understood the task to be and
then asks each member to shares what they heard. Once everything's was
clear, I saw the state We focus on the front display first. Since that's what
customers could see right away, and then move to the back once that was
done. And everyone agreed and we finished on time.

2:05:

This experience remind me how too powerful good communication is. It

doesn't just solve problems. It brings the team back together.

How did you become interested in building construction?

2:21:

My interest in building construction started when I was younger. Thanks to

my brothers, he worked as a engineer during the constructions of the Burj
Khalifa, and he used to tell me stories about the challenges the teamwork,
and the incredible planning behind such a huge project. And I found it
fascinating and inspiring.

2:41:

Those conversations sparked my curiosity. And that's what motivate me to

study civil engineering. Once I joined college and started learning more
about structures, materials, and design, I became more passionate after
graduations, and I started working as a civil engineer myself. And now I really
enjoy being part of the process that turns throwing into a real buildings. And
it feels good to build something solid and lasting It's more than just a job to
me.

[Link] was your Demeanor throughout your mock-interview?

Answer- professional calm

unsteady
Overall, you came across as professional and calm throughout the interview,
which is a positive foundation. However, there were moments where your
delivery was somewhat unsteady, which could potentially undermine the
impression of confidence. For example, in the first response, the phrase "One
time, we receive a batch of drywall seal" lacks confidence. This could be
improved by slowing down and ensuring accurate articulation. Similarly, in
the second response, "One person thought we were focusing on our front this
display," could be refined for clarity. Paying attention to the rhythm and flow
of your speech could further enhance your delivery. Try to focus on taking
deep breaths and allowing yourself to speak with intention. Slowing down
can help you to have more articulation and command over your speech. To
improve, consider practicing with a focus on enunciation and pacing.
Recording yourself and listening back critically can help you identify areas
where your speech becomes less steady. By consciously working on these
aspects, you can enhance your overall impact and project a more confident
demeanor.

4. This mock interview is designed to give you feedback on your interview

presentation. What insights did you gain during this assignment? How will
you use this feedback moving forward?

Answer- The mock interview helped me to realize how important it is to

structure my answers clearly and keep them concise. I learned that providing
specific examples and focusing on the outcome can make my responses
more impactful. Moving forward, I’ll work on being even more concise while
making sure I highlight key skills and experiences that are relevant to the
role.
