1. OBJECTIVE :
1.1. To establish a standard and most efficient procedure for application of non-shrink
grouts to rectify exposed rebars.
2. SAFETY :
2.1. All works shall comply with safety procedure or instruction set out in project safety
plan and Municipality rules and regulations.
2.2. All employees involved in the activity shall be provided with proper tools and
equipment to execute work safely.
2.3. All employees shall be provided with complete personal protective equipment. (PPE)
3. EQUIPMENT :
3.1. Drill Machine
4. TOOLS:
4.1. Steel brush
4.2. Pointed Chisel
4.3. Hammer
4.4. Stainless Steel Trowel or Rubber Float
4.5. Bucket
4.6. Mixing Board
5. MATERIALS : (as per approved specification)
5.1. Non-shrink Grout
5.2. Water
6. SKILLS NEEDED :
6.1. Masonry
7. MANPOWER NEEDED : (per set)
7.1. Mason (1) + Helper (1)

02. Clear out concrete around rebars. Mason /

Note: Damp surface prior to application of


non-shrink grout.

03. Prepare Non-shrink Grout. Mason /

Note: Follow manufacturer's


recommendation.

Apply non-shrink grout to exposed rebars Mason /
then trowel or float the rectified surface Helper

05. Cure.

Note: See manufacturer's guidelines for
