SHORT REFLECTION 3

As part of my internship journey, I went to class one day without preparing for class because I travelled
and did not return early before class. I went to class unprepared and also without a lesson plan to guide
me thinking I know the things am going to teach. In the course of teaching, a student asked me a
question, in the process of answering the student, I shifted the attention from what am teaching to the
question the student have asked me. On that day, I was not able to complete the topic I planned to
teach.

Upon reflection, I have come to a realization whether you understood the content you are going to
teach or not, you must be prepared and importantly go to class with your lesson plan always to guide
you.

SHORT REFLECTION 4

I went to class one day during my internship with a video to explain some concepts to my students.
Though I know my laptop speaker was not that loud, a friend of mine have been bringing a small speaker
to school so I plan to use it for the laptop to boost the volume but unfortunately for me my friend was
not in school that very day. I tried other alternative means but to no avail. I tried to show them the video
in a small group and also try to explain the content of the video for them to understand because they
were complaining that they are not hearing me. Though explaining the content of the video to the
students when they can’t hear helped but it wasted much time and we are not able to complete the
objectives for the day.

Upon reflection I noticed that as a teacher one important aspect of your teaching is preparation, you
must prepare for your lesson, get all your teaching and learning materials ready before class , in so doing
you can have a lesson everyday .
