QUICK START GUIDE

Thank you for choosing Analog Way and the TRK-800. By following these simple steps, you should be able to setup
and use your powerful remote Control Keypad within minutes. Discover the TRK-800 extensive capabilities and
intuitive interface while configuring your first show, and unleash your creativity for a new experience in show and event
management by Analog Way.

What’s in the box


1 x TRK-800 (TRK800).
1 x AC/DC Power supply.
1 x DB9 (F/F) Cable for update only.
1 x Quick Start Guide.
1 x Carrying case.

TRK-800 settings

To access the TRK-800 menu, press the EXIT/MENU

WORKING WITH THE TRK-800

Front Panel Description

The following setup is an example of a typical TRK-800 configuration for an event or roadshow, but can of course be
modified according to your specific needs :

Input

#1 L/ F 1: Press to access source #1, Display Frame #1 or Logo #1.


#2 L/ F 2: Press to access source #2, Display Frame #2 or Logo #2.
#3 L/ F 3: Press to access source #3, Display Frame #3 or Logo #3.
#4 L/ F 4: Press to access source #4, Display Frame #4 or Logo #4.
#5 L/ F 5: Press to access source #5, Display Frame #5 or Logo #5.
#6 L/ F 6: Press to access source #6, Display Frame #6 or Logo #6.
#7 L/ F 7: Press to access source #7, Display Frame #7 or Logo #7.
#8 AL/ F 8: Press to access source #8, Display Frame #8 or Logo #8
 or Animated Logo.
DVI 1 to DVI 2: Press to access DVI #1 or DVI #2.
SDI 1 to SDI 4: Press to access SDI #1 or SDI #4.
BLACK: Change the active layer to Black.
FREEZE: Freeze the input linked to the current layer on MAIN.

LAYER SELECTION

Press to access Layer section.

EFFECT/PRESET

Preset section: Stores and recalls 8 presets available.

CUT: Select Cut as the current transition type.


MATRIX #1 & #2
FADE: Select Fade as the current transition type.
OUTPUT #1: Press to select the output #1, select a layer and a source,
USER 1: Select User #1 as a customized transition. then press TAKE.
USER 2: Select User #2 as a customized transition. OUTPUT #2: Press to select the output #2, select a layer and a source,
then press TAKE.
P1/P5: Select P #1 as a customized preset or P #5 by shift function.
P2/P6: Select P #2 as a customized preset or P #6 by shift function.
P3/P7: Select P #3 as a customized preset or P #7 by shift function.
P4/P8: Select P #4 as a customized preset or P #8 by shift function.
T-Bar

T-Bar to control effect level.

SCREEN
LED indicator
Allows to swich
between different Displays the availability of the T-Bar.

Easy adjustments (size or position) with this mini joystick. Ad-
just the selected PIP or Logo, X-Axis (Left/Right), Y-Axis (Up/
Down) and click to change the mode (position or size).

Adjustment

Adjust Layers :

1:1: Display active layer in real size.


ZOOM: Zoom active layer PIP.
CENTERING*: Display active layer in real aspect ratio.
FULL*: Take active layer to Full screen.
SIZE: Size active layer with the mini joystick.
POS: Adjust PIP or Logo Position with the mini joystick.
CROP*: Crop boundaries of PIP.
* only available on shift mode.

LAYER

Background Live/PIP #1 or W1: Display or change active Layer.


PIP #2 or W2: Display or change active Layer.
PIP #3 or W3: Display or change active Layer.
PIP #4 or W4: Display or change active Layer.
Background Frame: Display or change Frame.
Logo #1: Display or change Logo #1.
Logo #2: Display or change Logo #2.
DSK: Select to access keying and titling.

* W1 to W4 only available in
Quadravision Mode.

FUNCTION

Preview button : Standard or Mosaic Mode.


SHIFT button : Secondary function selection button.

Control
MENU : Display the menu.
TAKE EXIT : Switches between Status & Control Mode.
ENTER button validates a selected item.
Press on TAKE allows
to display the pre-
selected sources onto
the MAIN output with
the selected effects.
TOGGLE PRESET

Allows to copy the previous Current Preset in the Next Preset at


the end of a TAKE.

TAKE CUT

Allows to move out by a CUT on a preset with effects.


Rear Panel Description

The settings for Serial and Ethernet connections are similar to the connected device.

RJ-45
RJ-45 Connector: Connect the TRK-800 to a 10/100 BT Ethernet LAN using this female RJ-45
connector : Used to control the switcher and also to upgrade the TRK-800.

RS-232
RS-232 PORT: Connect the RS-232 connector to the serial port of the computer with the update
cable supplied (DB9 F/F cross cable). Please follow instructions of the software for an update.

AC
AC Power connector: Plug a power supply cord: Internal, universal, 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 1.5A.
