Using Conjunctions Worksheet

We use conjunctions to:


- add information and ideas (and, both ... and, not only ... but also)
- contrast ideas (but, although, though, whereas, even though, even if)
- describe reasons and results (because, since, as, so)
- talk about choices and alternatives (or, either ... or, neither ... nor, whether ... or (not))
- talk about time/order (before, after, until, when, as soon as)
- show purpose (so, so that, so as, in order that)

A. Fill in the gaps in the following sentences with the correct word from the brackets.
