Scratch is a new visual and multimedia programming environment based on Squeak designed for the
production and dissemination of animated sequences with or without sound and the learning of programming.
Developed by MIT Media Lab and the KIDS group at UCLA, University of California,
Los Angeles. It offers an intuitive and very easy-to-understand interface, where we can manipulate
images, photos, sound, music, etc. and above all a form of visual programming with all of these
elements. We will be able to create our characters, change their appearance and make them interact with
the others. Finally, we can publish our creations so that everyone can see them.
When working with Scratch, mathematical and computer science concepts are easily understood.
which are very well integrated into the program, such as:

Conditional criteria (if, then, if-not),
The coordinates on a plane,
The variables, etc.

In addition, these concepts are learned within a meaningful and motivating context. It is not the

A continuous spiral is created: starting from an idea, a project is generated, which leads to new

to reason systematically and to work collaboratively.
