Digiplex Ignition Module Installation Guide
Digiplex Ignition Module Installation Guide
novelty and a great advance since the system works based on the information
that provides two electromagnetic sensors and a depression sensor
that inform the module the RPM, the position of the piston, and the vacuum of the
multiple. This allows both the time of ignition and the advance to be
controlled by the module electronically and therefore much more
needs a conventional system.
As you can see and verify for yourselves the Digiplex module of the Regatta
it has 11 pins, if you place the module as shown in the image we number them
from 1 to 11. As you know, the Regatta has two electromagnetic sensors.
What is the Upper Dead Point Sensor (PMS)? It is located in the pulley.
of the crankshaft and in the image it is identified as S2. The other sensor is that of
Revolutions per minute (RPM) and it is the one found in the box. in the figure
identified as S1.
Pin 4 will be connected to positive so that current only flows when it passes the
Switch, we will do the same with pin number 8, we will not use pins 6 and 7.
just as you see it in the figure.
