SAT Math Prep Course (Sept → March)

Phase 1: Foundations (Weeks 1–4)

Objective: Fill skill gaps, build algebra and arithmetic fluency, introduce SAT format.

• Week 1 (Today): Diagnostic + Numbers & Operations

o Topics: Integers, fractions, ratios, percents, absolute value.

o Activity: Mini diagnostic (10 Qs, mixed). Discuss SAT format (Calculator vs No Calc).

o Homework: 20 practice Qs on ratios/percents + Quiz 1.

• Week 2: Algebra Basics

o Topics: Linear equations, inequalities, manipulating expressions.

o Strategy: Plugging in numbers, back-solving.

o Homework: 25 practice Qs + Quiz 2.

• Week 3: Advanced Algebra (Part I)

o Topics: Systems of equations, word problems, functions intro.

o Strategy: Translating words → equations.

o Homework: 25 Qs (systems & functions) + Quiz 3.

• Week 4: Advanced Algebra (Part II)

o Topics: Quadratics (factoring, quadratic formula, completing square).

o Strategy: When to factor vs formula.

o Homework: 30 Qs + Quiz 4.
Phase 2: Core SAT Math (Weeks 5–10)

Objective: Cover all tested topics, build speed & accuracy.

• Week 5: Ratios, Proportions & Word Problems

• Week 6: Exponents, Radicals, Polynomials

• Week 7: Coordinate Geometry (slopes, equations, intersections)

• Week 8: Functions & Graphs (linear, quadratic, exponential)

• Week 9: Statistics & Data (mean, median, mode, range, scatterplots, probability)

• Week 10: Geometry & Trigonometry (triangles, circles, right-triangle trig, area/volume)

Each week: 25–30 SAT-style practice + Quiz.

Phase 3: Strategy & Integration (Weeks 11–15)

Objective: Blend topics, teach pacing, sharpen strategies.

• Week 11: Calculator Section Deep Dive

• Week 12: No-Calculator Section Deep Dive

• Week 13: Word Problem Mastery (applications across topics)

• Week 14: Mixed Sets Timed Drill (25 min sections, review strategies)

• Week 15: Mid-Course Full-Length Mock Exam

Phase 4: Test Readiness (Weeks 16–20)

Objective: Master pacing, review weaknesses, simulate exam pressure.

• Week 16: Weakness Review (diagnosed from mock)

• Week 17: Hard Problem Solving (700+ level Qs)

• Week 18: Full-Length Mock Exam (2)

• Week 19: Final Targeted Drills + Strategy Tune-Up

• Week 20: Final Mock + Confidence Session
