Master Project - Cuca

Taking lessons from the kitchen

Presentation

The Master-Chef Project began from observations made during snack time when the
children almost always brought processed foods, such as: snacks, filled cookies,
box juices, soft drinks, among others, rich in saturated fats, colorings, etc., which did not bring
no or almost no nutritional benefit.
When we questioned why not eat natural foods like fruit juice and the
own fruit, for example, they said they didn't like it and that mom didn't buy fruits.
We also observed that there were many children with obesity problems and they were already doing
follow-up with nutritionists.
The project aims, therefore, to work with children in the early grades with experience and
the experience of preparing healthy foods in order to stimulate and develop the taste and pleasure of
students in tasting natural dishes, ending the idea that only artificial foods are good
appearance is good for consumption.
While the children are engaged in preparing the recipes, the ...
interdisciplinarity of mathematical, linguistic and scientific content.
We aim not only to encourage healthy eating for children at school but also to
extend it to the homes of our students, bringing about a change in their eating habits of
everyone at home.
However, reading the recipes is the pinnacle of the project. We studied the keywords, the
letters, syllables, and phrases in order to build reading and writing of recipes so that children can
better to understand them before executing them.
