Topic: TOOLS AND MATERIALS FOR STAKING OUT BUILDING LINES
Reference: TLE Carpentry module
Materials: Module, laptop, visual aids, PowerPoint presentation,Chalk, Green Board
III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminaries

c. Motivation
Display a picture of a construction site on the board and ask students to brainstorm the potential
hazards and risks involved in carpentry work. Allow a few minutes for students to share their ideas with the class.

Lesson Proper
Activity 1: Staking Out Building Lines
Materials: Measuring tape, chalk, stakes, string, level

Significance: This activity allows students to apply their knowledge of tools and materials for staking out building
lines in a hands-on manner.

Instructions:
1) Divide students into small groups.
2) Provide each group with the necessary materials.
3) Assign a specific area in the school grounds for each group to stake out building lines.
4) Instruct students to measure and mark the desired lines accurately using the provided tools.
5) Encourage students to work together, discuss their measurements, and make adjustments if necessary.
