JD – DESIGN MANAGER
Role Definition: Being Responsible for Designing & Developing Products (Drawings) as per Requirement.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Understanding , visualizing & designing Products
Research & Development activity for product Innovation
Designing Products that meets Specification.
Being Creative to make Products Flexible & Cost effective.
Handling Design Team.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for Understanding of Order Specification
Study layout & Order Specifications
In case any deviation, Coordinate with Project team
Source required information
Responsible for Research & Development
Study new methods
Study Market Requirement
Prepare information database
Responsible for Preparing Design drawing & Material estimation
Draw product design in Auto Cad and knowledge in Solid works is a must.
Verify & get approval from project / production manager
Appropriately derive BoM/ BoQ
Make R & D for customization as per customer need
Check with purchase/ stores to verify Material availability as per spec.
Responsible for Resolving Production queries / challenges
Understand Production queries
Evaluate production challenges
Give clarification & knowledge to production team
Make modification if needed to mitigate production issues.
Get approval / revise estimation of BOM
Responsible for Software data entry & MIS
Requirements and skills
Previous experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role
Proven experience using CAD software (2D and 3D) ; knowledge of SolidWorks is must
Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and inspire a team of designers
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
Ability to present in front of stakeholders.
Great computational and spatial ability
Excellent oral and written communication
Attention to detail
Degree in Diploma and Engineering or a similar field
