How to add my picture in the resume
1. Go to insert tab on the ribbon
2. Click on “Picture” in Insert tab
3. Browse the picture you want to add
4. Select the picture
5. By adding a picture, the picture tools (Shown as 1) will automatically will
apear in the ribbon. Find the Text wrapping (shown as 2).
6. Click on in front of text and place it by dragging and dropping it in the
desired place.
7. When you are satisified with the placement Go to picture tools>text
wrapping again and choose “Behind Text”
General FAQs
1. How to Change the background colors?
1. Select the table cells of which you want to change the background colors
of, as shown in “1” In image below
2. Go to Design Tab on Ribbon and find the shading tool
3. Choose your desired color and you are done.
2. How to change/add background picture
1. Go to Page Layout tab in the Ribbon
2. Click watermark tool
3. Choose custom Watermark
4. Select picture watermark and browse for your background picture. Set
scale to 100%
Note: Your picture should be A4 Size 8.29x11.69 or Letter Size 8.5 x 11 with at
least 96 DPI for good results.
3. How to easily select pictures and text boxes?
Text boxes and pictures have been used in this resume and it can be hard to
select one because some are on background layer.
If you are having a hard time in selecting textbox or image there are two ways
to make it easier.
a) You can select in one image or textbox in the document and press “Tab” on
keyboard to cycle through images and text box.
b) Find select tool on Home tab on Ribbon and choose select objects. Now
you would be able to choose text boxes and pictures on the background
layers.
5. How to save the resume as pdf?
1. Go to Office button>Save as> PDF and XPS Format.
2. It will ask you to download a plugin unless you already have it installed.
3. Once you install it you will be able to save your document as pdf format.
