Planning Your Photography Portfolio Task

1. Who are you planning to do your photo essay on? Describe why you think they will make a
good subject for your project.

2. How do you plan to build a sound, trusting relationship with them? Watch the video on the
Mecs102 Learn page where a professional photographer talks about relationship building.
Share any thoughts you have in response to his strategies and how you might go about
building trust with your subject.

3. Have you approached your subject and asked them for permission to photograph them? If
not, when do you plan to do this? It is very important that you secure their active consent.
You should show them your copy of the project assignment so they can know what they are
committing to.

4. Upload your responses to the Writing Development Task 5 slot on the Mecs102 Learn page
by 10 am on Thursday 11 September.
