Theme
- A theme is a predefined set of colors, fonts, effects, and background styles applied to give a
presentation a consistent and professional look.
Steps to apply a theme:
1. Open the PowerPoint presentation.
2. Go to the Design tab.
3. In the Themes group, select a theme.
4. Click on it to apply.
2. SmartArt, WordArt, Resizing, Photo Album, Header
- SmartArt: Represents information visually (e.g., charts, hierarchies, processes).
- WordArt: Decorative text styles for headings/titles.
- Resize a picture: Select → drag sizing handles.
- Rotate a picture: Use the green rotation handle.
- Photo Album: Creates presentation directly from a set of photos.
- Header: Text appearing at the top of each slide/page.
3. Modifying Tables & Footer
Ways to modify tables:
- Add/delete rows/columns
- Merge/split cells
- Change table design
- Resize rows/columns
- Apply shading/borders
Footer: Text at the bottom of slides/pages (e.g., dates, notes).
4. Formatting Tables & Thesaurus
Ways to format tables:
- Apply styles
- Change font, size, color inside cells
- Adjust borders/shading
- Align text
Thesaurus: Tool to find synonyms and antonyms.
5. Fill in the blanks
a) Title Bar is located at the top of the PowerPoint window.
b) Slide Show is used to deliver your presentation.
c) Slide Pane displays a large view of the current slide.

- Animation Pane: View, reorder, customize animations.
- Transition Effects: Visual effects when moving from one slide to the next.
