Activity 1: Core Human Values: List human values and write about them from
your perspective.
1. Compassion
Reflection:
Compassion is the ability to feel for others and act with kindness. It is the foundation of
empathy and altruism, driving us to alleviate the suffering of others. From my perspective,
compassion is what transforms communities into caring societies. It bridges gaps between
people of different backgrounds and creates emotional safety.
2. Integrity
Reflection:
Integrity means being honest and morally upright, even when no one is watching. It reflects
a deep alignment between one's values, words, and actions. Integrity builds trust — the
backbone of meaningful relationships. In a world that often rewards shortcuts, integrity
grounds us in what’s truly important: authenticity.
3. Respect
Reflection:
Respect is recognizing the inherent worth of every individual, regardless of status, belief, or
difference. It’s expressed not only in words, but in how we treat others — through listening,
fairness, and openness. I see respect as essential for peace and cooperation, allowing us to
live together with dignity.
4. Responsibility
Reflection:
Responsibility involves owning our actions and their consequences. It shows maturity and
self-awareness. Whether it's toward others, the environment, or ourselves, responsibility
helps us grow and make ethical decisions. When people take responsibility, societies flourish
with trust and accountability.
5. Gratitude
Reflection:
Gratitude is the appreciation of what we have — people, experiences, and the present
moment. It shifts focus from what’s lacking to what’s abundant. I believe gratitude nurtures
contentment and resilience, helping us see beauty even in challenges and deepening our
sense of joy.
6. Justice
Reflection:
Justice is the pursuit of fairness, equity, and moral rightness. It ensures that people are
treated fairly and their rights protected. From my perspective, justice is the backbone of
civilization. Without it, trust collapses. With it, societies progress and heal from past
wounds.
7. Humility
Reflection:
Humility is the recognition that we don’t know everything and are part of something larger.
It allows us to learn, grow, and accept others' perspectives. Humility tempers ego and opens
the door to true wisdom. It reminds us that we’re all works in progress.
8. Love
Reflection:
Love is perhaps the most powerful and universal human value. It binds people through care,
affection, and a desire for the well-being of others. Love motivates creativity, sacrifice, and
healing. I see love not just as an emotion, but as a guiding force behind many of the best
human actions.
9. Courage
Reflection:
Courage is the strength to face fear, pain, or uncertainty. It's not the absence of fear, but the
decision to act in spite of it. Courage fuels progress — whether it's standing up for what’s
right or pursuing a difficult goal. From my viewpoint, it’s the spark that initiates change.
10. Tolerance
Reflection:
Tolerance is the acceptance of different beliefs, practices, and cultures. It doesn’t mean
agreeing with everything, but respecting others' right to live their truth. In an increasingly
diverse world, tolerance is essential for harmony and coexistence.
Activity 2: self and Family: Draw a family tree, write a paragraph about
yourself and stick a family photo.

My name is GOWRI Y, and I am currently pursuing a degree in ELECTRONICS
AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING at RVITM. I have always been
passionate about problem-solving, innovation, and how things work. Growing
up in a supportive family, I was encouraged to be curious and persistent. My
family’s values of hard work, honesty, and resilience have shaped who I am
today. Outside of academics, I enjoy swimming and playing badminton and
chilling with my closed ones , which keep me balanced. My goal is to become a
skilled engineer who not only builds efficient systems but also contributes
positively to society and supports sustainable development.
Activity 3: My Aspirations – Dream, Plan, Achieve: List your aspirations in
different areas of life (personal, academic, career, and social). Write a short
reflection on how you plan to achieve them.
Aspirations in Different Areas of Life
Area My Aspiration
To develop a healthy and balanced lifestyle, stay physically fit, and
Personal
improve time management.
To graduate with top grades in engineering and gain a strong
Academic
understanding of core technical subjects.
To become a successful engineer working in a leading company or
Career
launching my own tech startup.
To contribute to my community through volunteering, mentoring
Social
junior students, and promoting sustainability.
Reflection: How I Plan to Achieve Them
Achieving my aspirations will require a clear vision, consistency, and continuous
growth. Personally, I aim to manage my time better by creating daily routines
that balance study, exercise, and rest. Academically, I plan to stay committed to
my coursework, seek help when needed, and engage in practical learning like
internships or technical projects.
Professionally, I am working on building my skills through certifications,
attending workshops, and networking with industry experts. I also plan to
develop a strong online portfolio and seek guidance from mentors. Socially, I
believe in giving back — I want to volunteer with technical education programs
and use my engineering knowledge to solve local problems sustainably.
I know the path may not be easy, but with passion, planning, and a positive
mindset, I believe I can turn these dreams into reality.
Activity 4: Gratitude/ Thank you Letter: Write a letter to someone who has
positively impacted your life (parents, teachers, friends etc).
Dear Mom and Dad,
I hope this letter brings a smile to your faces. I am writing to say a heartfelt
thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for me. Your love,
sacrifices, and constant support have made me the person I am today.
You have always believed in me, even when I doubted myself. Your words of
encouragement during tough times gave me strength, and your guidance
helped me stay focused on my goals. Whether it was staying up late to help me
study or simply listening to me when I needed someone — you were always
there.
Because of your values, I have learned the importance of hard work, honesty,
and resilience. These lessons are not just shaping my journey as a student, but
also my future as an engineer and a responsible person in society.
I may not say it often enough, but I am truly grateful for everything. Thank you
for being my biggest supporters and my first teachers in life.
With love and gratitude,
GOWRI Y
Activity 5: My life Hero. Choose a person who inspires you (a historical
figure, family member, teacher, or public personality). Write about their life
