📝 Cue Card:
Describe a festival in your country.
You should say:
what the festival is
how it is celebrated
who participates in it
and explain why this festival is important.
🎤 Sample Answer:
One important festival in my country is Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, the
Islamic holy month of fasting. It’s celebrated with great enthusiasm by Muslims all across
Pakistan.
On this day, people wake up early to perform a special prayer called “Eid Salah” in large
congregations, often held in open grounds or mosques. After that, families visit each other,
exchange gifts, and enjoy lavish meals together.
Everyone participates — from young children to the elderly — and there’s a strong sense of
community and charity. People also give to the poor to help them celebrate the occasion.
Eid-ul-Fitr is important because it symbolizes spiritual renewal, forgiveness, and gratitude. It
strengthens family bonds and reminds us to be compassionate and thankful for our blessings.

when and where you learned it
how you learned it
and explain how it helped you.
🎤 Sample Answer:
A time I learned something new was during my internship last summer at a marketing company.
I learned how to use social media analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of advertising
campaigns.
This was completely new to me because I had only studied theory in university. The company
assigned me a mentor who patiently showed me how to track key performance indicators,
analyze audience engagement, and generate reports.
I practiced daily and even suggested improvements based on data insights, which my team
appreciated. Learning this skill boosted my confidence and gave me practical experience that
helped me stand out when applying for jobs.
It showed me the value of combining academic knowledge with real-world skills.

what you did during the trip
and explain why the trip was memorable.
🎤 Sample Answer:
One memorable trip I took was to Nathia Gali, a hill station in northern Pakistan, with my
family last winter. We went there for five days to enjoy the fresh mountain air and snow.
During the trip, we hiked through pine forests, visited local markets, and spent cozy evenings by
the fireplace in our cabin. We also tried traditional foods and took lots of pictures of the stunning
landscapes.
The trip was memorable because it gave us a chance to disconnect from city life and spend
quality time together. The natural beauty and peaceful environment made it very relaxing and
rejuvenating.
It’s one of my favorite vacations so far, and I hope to visit again soon.
