The bar graph below shows the amount of carbon emissions in different countries in three different
years.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons
where relevant.
The given information illustrates the quantity of carbon emissions in six countries during 1975, 1990
and 2005. Generally, USA is a country with the most massive bulk of carbon emissions. Meanwhile,
Canada has the smallest emissions of carbon in total.
Precisely, USA rises gradually from 1,200,000 in 1975 and becomes the highest productive country
with 1,800,000 thousand metric tonnes of carbon emissions. In addition, China produces the second
largest proportion of carbon emissions. It increases minimally in 1975 and 1990, and sharply soars to
its peak of around 1,400,000 and 1,600,000 thousand metric tonnes in 2005.
The four remaining countries which have a wide disparity in the amount of carbon emission
compared to the USA and China are Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada and India. While
Germany remains the same in the first two distinct years and drop slightly in 2005, India experiences
an upward trend during the three years. Either Canada and the United Kingdom follows a repeated
fluctuation and have not reached to 2,000,000 thousand metric tonnes.
