Universal Quranic Verses
1. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:177)
Arabic:
ِ ب َو َل ٰـكِنَّ ْٱل ِبرَّ َمنْ َءا َم َن ِبٱهَّلل ۟ ُّْس ْٱل ِبرَّ َأن ُت َول
ِ وا وُ جُو َه ُك ْم ِق َب َل ْٱل َم ْش ِر ِق َو ْٱل َم ْغ ِر َ َلي...
English:
“Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but righteousness is
in one who believes in Allah...”
2. Surah Al-Hujurat (49:13)
Arabic:
َي ٰـَٓأ ُّي َها ٱل َّناسُ ِإ َّنا َخ َل ْق َن ٰـ ُكم مِّن َذ َك ۢ ٍر َوُأن َث ٰى...
English:
“O mankind! We created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes
that you may know one another...”
3. Surah Al-Ahzab (33:21)
Arabic:
ُول ٱهَّلل ِ ُأسْ َوةٌ َح َس َن ٌة َ لَّ َق ْد َك...
ِ ان َل ُك ْم فِى َرس
English:
“Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example...”
4. Surah An-Nahl (16:90)
Arabic:
ِإنَّ ٱهَّلل َ َيْأ ُم ُر ِب ْٱل َع ْد ِل َوٱِإْلحْ َس ٰـ ِن...
English:
“Indeed, Allah commands justice, excellence, and giving to relatives, and forbids immorality...”
5. Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:8)
Arabic:
۟ ُ َواَل َيجْ ر َم َّن ُك ْم َش َنـَٔانُ َق ْوم َع َل ٰ ٓى َأاَّل َتعْ ِدل...
وا ٍ ِ
English:
“Let not the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just—that is nearer to
righteousness...”
6. Surah Taha (20:114)
Arabic:
رَّ بِّ ِز ْدنِي عِ ْلمًا
English:
“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”
7. Surah Az-Zumar (39:9)
Arabic:
َ ُون َوٱلَّذ
َ ِين اَل َيعْ َلم
ُون َ قُ ْل َه ْل َيسْ َت ِوى ٱلَّذ
َ ِين َيعْ َلم
English:
“Say, are those who know equal to those who do not know?”
8. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:286)
Arabic:
اَل ُي َكلِّفُ ٱهَّلل ُ َن ْفسًا ِإاَّل وُ سْ َع َها
English:
“Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear.”
9. Surah Al-Isra (17:70)
Arabic:
َو َل َق ْد َكرَّ مْ َنا َبن ِٓى َءادَ َم...
English:
“We have certainly honored the children of Adam...”
10. Surah Al-Mumtahanah (60:8)
Arabic:
َ اَل َي ْن َه ٰى ُك ُم ٱهَّلل ُ َع ِن ٱلَّذ...
ِين َل ْم ُي َق ٰـ ِتلُو ُك ْم
English:
“Allah does not forbid you from being kind and just to those who did not fight you...”

Universal Hadiths
1. “Actions are judged by intentions.”
Arabic:
ِ ِإ َّن َما اَأْلعْ َما ُل ِبال ِّنيَّا

2. “The best among you are those who have the best manners.”
Arabic:
ِخ َيا ُر ُك ْم َأ َحاسِ ُن ُك ْم َأ ْخاَل ًقا
(Bukhari)
3. “Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave.”
Arabic:
ْ
اطلُبُوا ْالع ِْل َم م َِن ْال َم ْه ِد ِإ َلى اللَّحْ ِد
(al-Bayhaqi)
4. “A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe.”
Arabic:
َ ْالمُسْ لِ ُم َمنْ َسلِ َم ْالمُسْ لِم
ُون مِنْ ل َِسا ِن ِه َو َي ِد ِه
(Bukhari)
5. “The strong is not the one who overcomes people, but the one who controls himself in anger.”
Arabic:
ب َ ك َن ْف َس ُه عِ ْندَ ْال َغ
ِ ض ُ ِ ِإ َّن َما ال َّشدِي ُد الَّذِي َيمْ ل،ِْس ال َّشدِي ُد ِبالص َُّر َعة

6. “None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”
Arabic:
اَل يُْؤ مِنُ َأ َح ُد ُك ْم َح َّتى ُيحِبَّ َألخِي ِه َما ُيحِبُّ لِ َن ْفسِ ِه
(Bukhari & Muslim)
7. “The best of you are those who are best to their women.”
Arabic:
َوَأ َنا َخ ْي ُر ُك ْم َأِلهْ لِي،َِخ ْي ُر ُك ْم َخ ْي ُر ُك ْم َأِلهْ لِه
(Tirmidhi)
8. “Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.”
Arabic:
اع َو ُكلُّ ُك ْم َمسْ ُؤ و ٌل َعنْ َرعِ َّي ِت ِه
ٍ ُكلُّ ُك ْم َر
(Bukhari & Muslim)
9. “He who does not thank people, does not thank Allah.”
Arabic:
َ اس اَل َي ْش ُك ِر هَّللا
َ َمنْ اَل َي ْش ُك ِر ال َّن
(Tirmidhi)
10. “Do not harm yourself or others.”
Arabic:
