Crankcase needle bearing installation tools vary by the depth the needle bearing is
installed. The needle bearing installed depth for:
• Permold crankcases is 9/16” (see Figure 2-16, 0.625”)
• Sandcast crankcases is 1/2” (see Figure 2-17, 0.50”).
