Basic Editing:
Import a video clip and cut it into two segments on the timeline.
Rearrange the segments to create a new sequence.
Aim : To import a video clip into Adobe Premiere Pro, import media, create a
sequence, perform basic edits, and apply transitions.
Steps:
1. Open Adobe Premiere Pro:
Launch Adobe Premiere Pro on your computer.
2. Start a New Project:
Click on "New Project" to create a new project.
Name your project and choose a location to save it.
3. Import a Video Clip:
In the Project Panel, right-click and select "Import."
Choose a video clip from your computer and click "Import."
4. Create a New Sequence:
Drag the imported video clip to the Timeline.
Premiere Pro will ask if you want to change the sequence settings to
match the clip. Choose "Change sequence settings."
5. Cut the Clip into Two Segments:
Select the Razor Tool (C) from the toolbar.
Position the razor cursor where you want to cut the clip.
Click to cut the clip into two segments.
6. Rearrange the Segments:
Use the Selection Tool (V) to click on the segments you've created.
Drag and rearrange the segments on the Timeline to create a new
sequence order.
7. Review the Edit:
Play back the sequence in the Program Monitor to review the
arrangement.
Ensure that the new sequence flows smoothly.
Result: The video clip was successfully imported, split into two parts, and rearranged on the
timeline to form a new sequence using Adobe Premiere Pro.
2. Adding Images:
Import three images and create a slideshow on the timeline.
Add transitions between the images.
Aim: To create a slideshow by importing images and applying transitions between
them using Adobe Premiere Pro.
Steps:
1. Open Adobe Premiere Pro:
Launch Adobe Premiere Pro on your computer.
2. Start a New Project:
Click on "New Project" to create a new project.
Name your project and choose a location to save it.
3. Import Images:
In the Project Panel, right-click and select "Import."
Choose three images from your computer and click "Import."
4. Create a New Sequence:
Drag the first image onto the Timeline.
Premiere Pro will ask if you want to change the sequence settings to
match the clip. Choose "Change sequence settings."
5. Adjust Image Duration:
Extend or shorten the duration of the first image on the timeline to
your desired length.
Repeat this step for the remaining images.
6. Add Transitions:
Go to the Effects Panel and select the "Video Transitions" category.
Choose a transition (e.g., Cross Dissolve) and drag it between the first
and second images on the timeline.
7. Adjust Transition Duration:
Click on the edge of the transition on the timeline.
Drag it to adjust the duration of the transition.
8. Repeat for Other Images:
Repeat steps 6-7 for transitions between the second and third images.
9. Review the Slideshow:
Play back the sequence in the Program Monitor to review the
slideshow with transitions.
Ensure that the transitions create a smooth flow between the images.
Result: A slideshow video is created with Five images, smoothly transitioning
between each image using the applied transition effects.
