Installation Manual
Deployment Center Installation
Pre-Requisite:
It is assumed that Java Jre is already installed and JAVA_HOME and JRE_HOME environment
variable is set.
Step 1: Log in to windows with an account which has administrator privileges.
Step 3: Change directory to folder containing deployment_center.bat file.
deployment_center.bat -install -
serverDir=C:\Programs\Teamcenter\DeploymentCenter\Server -serverPort=9091 -
repoDir=D:\Programs\TCDeploymentCenter\Repo -repoPort=9595 -user=dcadmin -
password=dcadmin -serviceName=TCDCService
Note: We provided server port 9091 as 9090 port is dispatcher port number.

Step 3: Note the URL for Deployment Center provided in the end.
Step 4: After Install is complete, following 2 services are created.
1. RepositoryService
2. TCDCService ( Name of this service depends on the value provided while
installing Deployment Center)

Step 5: Start Browser and open URL for Deployment Center. Provide login credential ( which
was provided during installation ) and click “Sign In”.

Step 5: Installable for Teamcenter, Active Workspace Client and other should be kept at
following location. (Note: This location was provided during installation)

License Installation
Step 1: Run Siemens PLM License [Link]
Step 2: Provide installation directory path.
Step 2: Provide license path details.

Step 5: Before starting installation of Teamcenter foundation turn off the windows defender
firewall.

Installation Of 2 tier
First Deployment
Step 1: kept the Teamcenter foundation and patch in the repo/software folder
Step 2: Open deployment center go to software repositories and check Teamcenter
foundation and patch.
Step 3: Click on add environment and create one environment.

Step 4: Click on Options and select environment type and Architecture Type
Step 4: Click on Components and select the following components.
And fill the corporate server details.

Step 5: Click on Database server and fill the details.
Step 5: Click on FSC and fill the details.

Step 10: Open then unzip the folder

Step 10: Open then unzip the folder and run [Link] file.

Web Tier Installation , Server Manager Installation and Microservices
Installation
Second Deployment
Step 1: In second deployment Microservice Node, Rich Client two-tier, Server Manager,
Teamcenter Web Tier and Server Manager Cluster Configuration is selected.

Step 2: select Teamcenter Web Tier (Java EE) and provide required details.

Step 7: After selection go to deploy and create installation script and run.

Active Workspace Installation
Third Deployment
Step 1: Select the active workspace software and go to application.
Step 2: Following components were found.

Step 2: Select the Indexer Engine Machine Name , OS, and java1.8 Home Location
Step 3: Select Indexing Engine User and Password

How to Send the Existing Teamcenter Environment Configuration to
Deployment Center?
Pre-requisite to be check
Make sure the Teamcenter is already installed on production server using
environment manager ([Link]) file.
Fist install the Deployment Center
Open the Teamcenter Media
Open the deployment center Directories from
TC2506_wntx64\tc2506_wntx64\install\ DeploymentCenter
And Extract the [Link] file
Open the install_config.properties file

Edit the install_config.properties file from deployment center.
Enter the repository directory path and web server path.

Open the Command Prompt using Administrator privilege.
Run the deployment_center.bat file with the argument inputFile=
install_config.properties.
Copy Existing Teamcenter media to the software repository folder of the deployment
center installed software folder.
Convert the Existing Environment to Deployment Center.
Open the Deployment Center Installed directory
Extract the send_configuration_to_dc.zip folder from
%DeploymentCenter%/webserver/Additional Tools folder to the custom folder.
It contains send_configuration_to_dc.bat file.

Run the send_configuration_to_dc.bat file from command prompt and pass the
required arguments with Installed environment name.
This utility will converts the Existing Teamcenter Environment to Deployment center.
After this Open Deployment center environment using the URL where you can find
the existing environment is converted to Deployment Center.
