Version 1.1 6 13 Sept 2025
InnoWorks
Innovation was at the heart of this project, and our team worked closely together to ensure
that creative ideas evolved into practical, results-driven solutions for Bunnings. We
followed a structured collaborative process, where every member had an equal role in
shaping the final outcome.
● Collaborative Brainstorming Sessions:
Our team met regularly to share ideas openly in a supportive environment where no
suggestion was dismissed or criticised.
o Each member presented their research findings, including operational gaps,
customer complaints, and competitor practices.
o These discussions encouraged diverse perspectives, which sparked creative
thinking and helped uncover new ways to approach problems.
o For example, Alicia’s insights into competitor delivery tracking inspired a
feature suggestion, which Ninu then explored from a technical perspective,
while Hammad clarified the process flow.
● Hybrid Idea Development:
After brainstorming, we identified the strongest aspects of individual proposals and
combined them into hybrid solutions.
o This process allowed us to balance creativity with feasibility, ensuring that the
final ideas were both innovative and realistic for Bunnings to implement.
o For instance, one member’s idea for eco-friendly routing was merged with
another’s concept for real-time customer notifications, creating a
comprehensive sustainability and communication feature.
● SWOT Analysis for Solution Refinement:
Each proposed solution went through a detailed SWOT analysis, jointly conducted by
the team:
o Strengths were evaluated for customer and business benefits.
o Weaknesses were analysed to identify potential risks or costs.
o Opportunities focused on improving efficiency and sustainability.
o Threats addressed external factors like competitor responses or technical
challenges.
This step helped us narrow down options objectively, ensuring decisions were
based on data rather than personal preference.
● Iterative Feedback with Stakeholders:
Once hybrid ideas were ready, we presented them to Bunnings managers to gain early
feedback.
