Section A – 2 Marks Each


(5 Questions × 2 = 10 Marks)

1 × (2/3 + 1/6) ÷ (3/4 - 1/2)

2 × In triangle ABC, ∠A = 65°, ∠B = 45°. Find ∠C using the angle sum property of a triangle.

3 × Convert the following statement into a simple equation and solve:


“Three more than a number is equal to 12.”

4 × Find the supplement of 115° and the complement of 48°.

5 × Find the value of x using laws of exponents:


2^x = 16

Section B – 3 Marks Each


(3 Questions × 3 = 9 Marks)

6 × Simplify the expression and find its value when x = 2:


2x² + 3x - x² + 4

7 × Two angles are complementary. One angle is twice the other. Find both angles.

8 × In a triangle, the sides are 9 cm, 12 cm, and 15 cm. Verify using the Pythagoras theorem
whether the triangle is right-angled.
