COURSE OUTCOMES (CO):
After completing the course, the students should be able to:
CO 1: Apply industrial engineering principles and work-study techniques (method study, work measurement) to
analyze and improve productivity in mechanical systems.
CO 2: Design efficient plant layouts and production plans using tools like MRP and ERP, while optimizing
scheduling (Johnson’s Rule) to meet operational constraints.
CO 3: Implement inventory control models (EOQ, ABC) and demand forecasting methods to minimize costs and
enhance supply chain efficiency.
CO 4: Analyze production costs and manage projects using CPM/PERT techniques to ensure timely and
resource-efficient execution.
CO 5: Evaluate Industry 4.0 technologies (AI, IoT, Digital Twins) for smart manufacturing and ethical societal
impact
