STRUCTURE
Wh questions and H question : who, what, where,when, why and how.

questions begin with a question word, such as who, what, when or where. The rest of
the word-order pattern is the same as in yes/no questions : do, does, or some other
auxiliary ( can/might, may/might, shall/should, will/would, must/had to) is placed before
the subject.
Who .. a noun phrase refering to a person.
What . a noun phrase referring to a thing/object/idea/action.
When an adverbial referring to time/date.
Why .. a reason.
Where .. an adverbial which refers to place.
How a direction/feelings/manner.
Other words can also be used to inquire about specific information:
Which (one) .. choice of alternatives
Whose .. possession
How much. price, amount (non-countable)
How many quantity (countable)
How long .. duration
How often ........ frequency
How far distance
What kind (of).. description
WH questions in simple present : WH + DO/DOES + SUBJECT
Examples:
Where do you work?
Where does she live?
When do you wake up?
WH Questions with "be" : WH + BE
Examples:
Where are you from?
Who is that man?
When is your class?

WH Questions are similar to Yes/No question except they have WH words at the start.
Examples:
Yes/No Question . Are you from Canada?
