Subject Name: Advanced Control System Subject Code: ELC603
Date of Floating: 14/08/2025 Last date of Submission: 18/08/2025

Instructions:
a) The assignment should be submitted on due date.
b) Late submission will not be entertained.
c) If necessary, discuss the question with your classmates.
d) Try to answer, each of the question in this assignment.

2. State and explain the Sampling Theorem. What are its implications for signal reconstruction?
3. Describe the process of digital to analog conversion with the help of a suitable diagram.
4. Discuss the sample-and-hold operation in digital systems. Why is it important?
5. Describe the mapping of the S-plane to the Z-plane. Why is this mapping necessary in digital control?
6. What is a pulse transfer function? How is it determined for a closed-loop digital control system?
7. Draw and explain the sampled signal flow graph for a typical discrete-time system.
8. Find the Z-Transform for the input signals (i) Step Input Signal (ii) Impulse Input Signal (iii) Ramp
