Scan To FTP
Scan To FTP is a feature that allows you to scan documents from the MFP device to an FTP server.
Worksheet Objectives
- Configure the MFP via Page Scope Web Connection to scan to an FTP server.
- Register an FTP destination in the Address Book and scan a document to that location.
Note:
This worksheet assumes that the FTP server is configured to receive documents from the MFP device. It
is also assumed that the MFP is connected and configured for the LAN.
Access Page Scope
Web Connection by
inputting the IP
address of your MFP
into your web browser.
Once displayed, Click
“Admin Mode”.

Enter the Admin
password and click
“Login” to access the
Admin mode.
Once in the Admin
Mode select the
“Network” menu.

Once in the Network
menu select the FTP
sub menu.
Insure FTP Client is
Enabled, which allows
you to scan to an FTP
server. If disabled, you
cannot scan.
We are not using a
proxy server, which
would make our LAN
more secure to the
outside world, but this
is where you would
configure it.
Leave default port at
21.
Click “Apply”

Confirmation screen
will be displayed.
Click “OK”
You are now back at
Network Settings, click
“Logout” to exit
Admin Mode.

Now that we are back
in User Mode, we will
register an FTP
destination in the
Address Book.
Select the Scan tab.
Under the Address
Book sub menu, click
“New Registration”.

Select the FTP radio
button.
Click “Next”
Enter the name for the
registered address.
Select the Index you
want or keep the
alphabetical default.
Click Main if you want
this destination to also
be displayed in the
Main Index.
Enter the IP address of
the FTP server, file
path, user ID, and
password.
Leave the default port
at 21.
Click “Apply”

A conformation screen
will be displayed.
Click “OK”
The new destination is
now listed in the
Address Book List.
At the MFP, use your
newly created one
touch to scan a
document to the FTP
site.
Once scanned, enter
the URL of the FTP
site in your browser.
Example:
[Link]
IP address of FTP
server.

Once connected to the
FTP server, we must
log in. We could have
added the username
and password in the
URL, but for our
example click File,
Log On As and enter
the FTP server
username and
password and click
“Log On”.
Username and
password will be
issued by the
Instructor.
Once logged in you
will see the Root
(Base) Folder.
Double click the Root
Folder.

Double click your sub
folder.
The document is
displayed and we can
download this file from
the FTP site at our
leisure.

file and take a look.
