Station 1: Zoom – chronic IBD *real patient – UC known for 10 years, last flare

• History - Symptoms (ask about symptoms, management)


• Cause of IBD
• Management plan
• How it impacts her lifestyle

Station 2: Call – Eczema consultation


• Mum ask you question about Eczema
• Can see on her hands and feet
• Mum ask you for treatment advice
• No need describe pictures

Station 3: Jaundice 2
• Hepatitis B
• Results guven with LFT deranged and viral screen (Hep B +)
• BBN + counselling
• Where do we go from here
• Sexual contact, tattoo piercing, IVU

Station 4 – rest

Station 5: Abdominal Pain


• Jaundice patient coming in with RUQ pain
• Theres gallstones in the gall bladder (interpret ultrasound) – LFT interpretation
• Abdominal exam – skip deep palpation, no liver percussion
• Lft shows cholestatic picture

Station 6: Asthma
• Explain both spacer and inhaler technique
• New diagnosis – explain asthma

Station 7: COVID – Fever


ABG (talk through) T1RF, CXR (comment, widen mediastinum), NEWS chart, mention ABCDE
Dexamethasone, Ramdesivir, (immediate management + contact tracing)
Sepsis 6 + SBAR

Station 8: Insulin prescription


• Take a focused history
• Results – night dose reduced, morning dose ok
• Insulin reduced from 34/42, reduce night time dose

Station 9: Eye Exam


• Examine the pupil and snellin chart -
• Write down finding for snelen chart
• L eye cannot see first letter, hand counting (3x)
• Cannot constrict and cannot accommodate
• Direct and consensual doesn’t move
• Fundoscopy pic – completely blurred (vitreous hemorrhage) and right is proliferative
diabetic retinopathy
