6.1 Determining the Direction and Tilt Angle of PV Modules
Determine the direction of PV modules based on design requirements. In the
northern hemisphere, PV modules face south. In the southern hemisphere, PV
modules face north. The following table lists the tilt angle design specifications.

6.2 Installing a RuralStar Pro Pole
1. When installing a pole, use an auxiliary pole, a chain hoist, and a lifting rope to
hoist the pole.
2. Various auxiliary poles, such as common derrick mast and steel pipe commonly
used in constructions, can be used.
3. In this document, the steel pipe with a thickness of 5 mm and a diameter of 10
cm is used as an auxiliary pole.
4. Before installing the auxiliary pole, measure the pole height to ensure that the
chain hoist can lift the upper pole above the lower pole.
1. Dig a foundation pit. 2. Assemble the lower pole, route the pole
ground cable, and install the lower pole in the
foundation pit.
1. RuralStar Pro poles must
be installed in a foundation 1. When installing the lower pole, ensure

3. Install the foot steps on the upper pole.
When installing the foot steps,
ensure that the hooks face upwards.
4. Install a lightning rod. 5. Install Yagi antenna mounting kits.
The Yagi
antenna
mounting kits

17. Install auxiliary components that secure PV modules.
Auxiliary components that secure PV
modules can be installed in either forward
or reverse direction. Determine the
installation direction based on the actual
PV module size. (Obtain the PV module
dimensions on the PV module nameplate.)

18. Install PV clamps and partially tighten all screws.
When installing the rubber pad, ensure that
the adhesive side faces upwards, remove
the adhesive sticker, and press the rubber
pad to ensure that it is firmly attached.
14
19. Install and secure the PV modules, adjust the position of the clamps to secure the PV
modules, and tighten the screws.
• When installing a PV module, mount the
PV module on the auxiliary component of
the PV module to facilitate PV module
positioning.
• When securing PV modules, ensure that
the clamps are firmly attached to the
inner side of the PV modules.
• When installing PV modules, ensure that
the distances between the PV module
edges and the two ends of the support
horizontal beam are the same.
