Failure to adhere to the dress code at Subharti Dental College can lead to strict punishment and a monetary fine. Additionally, Heads of Departments (HODs) and department in-charges are instructed not to allow students who do not follow these instructions in their departments, which could further hinder students' educational progress and clinic access.

Department heads and student mentors play a crucial role in implementing the dress code at Subharti Dental College. They are specifically required not to allow students who are non-compliant with the dress code into their departments. This enforces discipline through oversight, thus ensuring compliance and maintaining the professional standards set by the institution.

The specific dress code at Subharti Dental College instills discipline and professionalism, qualities that are crucial in the dental field. By requiring cleanliness, specific attire, and grooming standards, students are habituated to the expectations they will face in real-world clinical settings. This preparation minimizes transition barriers from academic to professional roles, emphasizing the importance of personal presentation and hygiene in maintaining patient confidence and safety.

All students are instructed to wear white aprons over their scrubs when outside the clinics and college buildings. Students should not be seen in scrubs without an apron outside these areas.

During the winter season, students are allowed to wear sweaters or thermals, but only under their scrubs. No other clothing such as sweaters or jackets is allowed over the scrubs except for the white aprons.

Male students are required to wear only plain black or white shoes with scrubs. Colored shoes, slippers, or crocs are not permitted. Additionally, they must be clean-shaved with their hair properly set.

To communicate and remind students about the dress code, Subharti Dental College utilizes multiple channels. Copies of the dress code instructions are sent to all Heads of Departments, student mentors, hostel wardens, and are shared within the WhatsApp groups for MDS, Interns, and BDS students. This multi-channel approach ensures widespread dissemination and reinforcement of the dress code policies.

The prescribed dress code at Subharti Dental College promotes a culture of professionalism and discipline. This uniformity can foster a sense of equality and reduce socio-economic distinctions among students, thereby enhancing the institution’s learning environment. The clear expectations and the enforcement of standards help inculcate habits that are vital in a healthcare setting, ultimately contributing to the students' holistic development as professionals.
