6. Course Objective(s):
The course aims to provide students with a solid foundation in web technologies, including
the design and development of web pages using HTML, DHTML, and CSS. It introduces
both client-side and server-side scripting using languages like JavaScript, Java Servlets,
JSP, and PHP, while also covering AJAX and modern frameworks such as [Link],
[Link], ReactJS, JQuery, and Bootstrap. The course emphasizes the integration of
databases (MySQL, MongoDB, NoSQL) with web applications and equips students with
the skills to design responsive, dynamic, and scalable web solutions.
7. Course (learning) outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will
be able to:
CO1: Describe and interpret standard web technologies, their architecture, and their roles
in building modern web applications.
CO2: Apply the principles of web design using HTML, DHTML, and CSS to develop well-
structured and visually appealing web pages.
CO3: Build real-world interactive applications using client-side scripting techniques such as
JavaScript and AJAX.
CO4: Design and develop web applications using server-side scripting technologies
including Java Servlets, JSP, PHP, and related frameworks.
CO5: Implement database connectivity with web applications using technologies such as
MySQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL databases.
CO6: Suggest, select, and employ appropriate web technologies and frameworks for the
development of scalable, responsive, and efficient web-based solutions.

Module 1: HTML, Introduction, HTML Formatting, Hyper-Links, Lists, Tables, Images,
Forms, Frames, Cascading Style sheets, Types, XML, Document type definition, XML
Schemas, Document Object model.*
Module 2: Introduction to Client Side scripting, JavaScript, Control statements, Functions,
Arrays, Objects, Events, Dynamic HTML with Java Script, AJAX: Ajax Client Server
Architecture, XML Http Request Object, Call BackMethods.
Module 3: NodeJS and Express, Introduction to AngularJS and Fundamentals of ReactJS,
Web servers, IIS (XAMPP, LAMPP) and Tomcat Servers, Server Side Scripting, Java
Servlets, Java Server Pages, Java Server Faces, JSF Components, Session Tracking, Cookies.
