WATERGUARD A is approved product by Government of of India approved Lab ( CFTRI LAB –

MYSORE KARNATAKA) for Portable / Drinking Water Tanks .

Application
Surface Preparation:
 Remove dirt, laitance, loose particles, paints, etc., by means of mechanical
grinding and pressure water cleaning
 Remove all protrusions, chisel out honeycombed & damaged areas, repair the
cracks and work back to sound concrete. The Cracks shall be repaired using PMM
with Fairmate SBR 10 litre SBR in 50 kg cement. It shall be filled with this using
spatula and cured properly for 3 days.
 Pre-ponding test, Any leakages shall be cement grouted with mix of cement and
Fairmate grout ADD @ 200 gms per 50kg cement Or Pressure Grouting by Non
Shrink Free Flow Low Viscosity Polyurethane grouting material and filling of
cracks by opening with grinder and filling with Cement and SBR 2:1 ratio.
 Remove all dust before starting of coating using blowers.

 Thoroughly rinse the surface with water several times to reach a “saturated
surface dry” (SSD) condition, where the surface should be damp without any
standing water
 Proceed with Waterguard A With Brush Application in two coats where the
second coat shall be perpendicular to the first coat to form a 2000 micron (2mm
DFT) if Spray machine is used then direct spray is to be applied for the required
consumption in two coats
 The coating shall be allowed to air cured for 7 days before laying Screed or
testing. The testing shall be done for maximum 48 hours by filling water of 25
mm thickness only.

MIXING Mix Waterguard A shall be mixed in the container @ 300 Rpm with paddle
mixer and should be used.

Precaution:
Application can be done under normal temperature conditions.

FINAL INSPECTION
It shall be Ensure that all the work carried as per Final Approved GFC Drawing. • PM,
QA ENGINEER as well as the PMC/Client shall verify & certify water proofing work
activity.
