The line chart show the percentage of spending in one European country between 1960 to
2000. Overall, food was the highest category in 1960 but it fell quickly and become the
lowest in 2000. By contrast, clothing rise steadily and overtook food in the end.
In 1960, around 20% of money were spent on food, which was more higher than any other
categories. Leisure accounted to nearly 30% in the same year, while transport and clothing
was both at about 10%. The least proportion was energy, just under 5 percent.
During the next four decades, the figure for food dropped significant, reaching about 12% in
2000. On the other hand, the proportion of clothing increased gradual, from under 10% to
over 14 percent at the end of period. Leisure also went down but it still remained the second
higher category in 2000. Meanwhile, transport and energy had fall consistently, finishing at
only 5% and 1% respectively.
In conclusion, people in this country spend less money on basic needs such as food,
transport and energy, but they spend more in clothing. This reflect a growth in living
standards.

The bar chart show the number of boys and girls playing six kind of sports in an English town
in 2012. Overall, boys is more active than girls in all categories, while girls dominated in
football.
In detail, about 50 boys played tennis, compared with only around 20 girls. For badminton,
the figure for girls was slightly lower than boys, with 40 and 30 participants respectively.
Cycling was chosen equally by both genders at exactly 35 each. Swimming were the most
popular activity for girls at 50, whereas boys only had under 30.

In conclusion, football is the sport attracted most boys and girls in 2012, while hockey

The pie charts shows the contribution of different sectors to the economy of Turkey in 2000
and 2016. Overall, agriculture increase while construction decreased, and the other
categories stayed almost unchanged.
In 2000, agriculture made up just 14% of the economy, which was the lowest share.
Government spending was the highest sector with nearly a quarter, while construction
contributed 17 percent. Finance and other was also significant at 12%. The rest of sectors,
including healthcare, trade, manufacturing and leisure, all accounted under 10 percent each.
By 2016, the percentage of agriculture has rose dramatically to 24 percent. Construction
dropped heavily to only 3%. Healthcare and education, together with leisure, were both
about 8%. In contrast, trade and transportation increased sharply from 14% to 30%,

In conclusion, the economy of Turkey changed a lot. Some industries became much more
important, while others shrinked.

The table show data about underground railway in six world capitals. It gives the date when
the systems has opened, the length of the route, and number of passengers per year.
Overall, the newest systems carry more people, while the oldest ones has the longest route.
London underground was opened in 1963 and is the largest with 394 kilometers. It serve
1191 million passengers each year, which is the highest in the table. Paris network started in
1927 and has the second longest line at 199 km. By contrast, Tokyo, opened in 1900, only
carry 144 million travelers annually.
Among the newest systems, Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles, their routes are all
under 30 km, but they transport more than 1000 million passengers each. The smallest
system is Kyoto, with just 11 km of track, but still it is used by 50 million people yearly.
In conclusion, underground railway system which opened recently are shorter in length but
they attract the largest number of commuters.

The charts illustrate the outcomes of a research about adult education. The bar chart
indicate several reasons why people choose to study, while the pie chart demonstrate how
the cost of courses should be shared.
Overall, the majority of adults study mainly because they are interested in subjects or they
want to obtain qualifications. In addition, most respondents belive that individuals should not
be responsible for paying the largest proportion of the costs.
Looking at the bar chart, the most significant reason for adults to take education was their
interest in subject, which account for 40% of the total responses. The second most common
motivation was to gain a qualification, at 38%. Meanwhile, 22% of adults studied because it
was helpful for their currently job, while 20% did so to improve prospects of promotion or
simply for enjoying learning. Smaller proportions cited changing jobs (12%) and meeting
people (9%).
Turning to the pie chart, it is clear that 40% of people thought individuals should pay the
biggest share of tuition fee. Employers were considered responsible for 35% of the costs,
whereas the remaining 25% was expected to be covered by taxpayers. This suggest that
people viewed the cost as a responsibility shared among three groups rather than being
carried only by the students themself.

Overall, there are around seven stages in the production, begins with drying the animal skin
and finishes with making products such as shoes, bag and balls.
Firstly, the raw skins is dried before they are delivered by truck to a factory. At the factory,
they washed with a mixture of water and lime. Next step is soaking in lime again, follow by
flattening with a large machine.
After that, the skins is soak in tannin solution, which consist of water and vegetable matters.
Then it is polished for improve its quality. In the final stage, the leather is transported to
factories where it turn into variety of goods including shoe, handbags and sport equipments.

The two maps shows how Grange Park change from 1920 to the today. Overall, the layout
became more modern although the most facilities stayed same, and a new car park was
existing in 1920.
In 1920, there were two fountains in the centre and near the north-west corner, with seats
surrounding it. The south-east contained a pond for water plants, while a glasshouse located
in the north-east. A stage for musicians were on the east side and both entrances has
remained at Arnold Avenue and Eldon Street.
Nowadays, the central fountain still remain in the middle; however, the amphitheatre was
built on the east, replacing the rose garden there. The café was set up in the south-east and
the children’s play area lies in the north-west. Besides, the glasshouse was converted into a

However, the trend is not completely positive. Although it help people stay updated, fake
news spreading fast can cause misunderstanding. For example, during Covid-19 pandemic,

sometimes dangerous.

On the other hand, this lifestyle also has problems. Because of moving frequently, digital
nomads often lack stable community and it make them feel lonely. In addition, some
countries not welcome remote workers, and the legal issue of visa is still complicate. For
local people, influx of nomads sometimes raise the rent, which create social tension.

In summary, although being a digital nomad bring many benefits like flexibility and cultural
experiences, the negative side such as isolation and housing problem should not be ignored.
From my perspective, this trend is more positive in long term.
