SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PLAN

OBJECTIVE: Empowering school leaders to actively participate in the creation of a school
improvement plan SIP for schools.
AIM: To foster collaboration, critical thinking and creativity while enhancing the quality of education in
school.
AREA SELECTION: STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
RATIONALE OF SELECTION: The justification for selecting Student Achievement is based on a
comprehensive analysis of current performance metrics and challenges at GGCMS Saidabad. The
decision to focus on Students achievement is supported by these critical factors:

 Academic performance gap: recent evaluation indicate that just 25% of students of Section A and
22% students of Section B in grade 5 achieved less than 50% in their first term exam.
 There is a considerable difference in the achievement levels between students who perform well
and those who struggle.
 5th grade plays a critical role in preparing students with the necessary skills for smooth transaction
to middle school
Data Collection:

 Standardized test and assessments.

 Interviews with students, teachers and parents.
 Observation of classroom instruction and student behavior
 Analysis of already existing data ( First term results)
 Attendance records.
Interpretation of Data:
Academic performance: Both quantitative and qualitative were examined to gain a comprehensive picture
of student’s performances. Test scores, first term results copies, and teacher observation were involved to
analyze various indicators. The test score and other relevant documents are attached with the assignment.
Attendance analysis: June and August attendance records were analyzed. The attendance records are
attached with the assignment.
Community participation/parents involvement in schools: parents were called for a PTM to analyze their
point of view regarding their child’s academic status.
Learning environment analysis: The physical classroom layouts, the social environment of students were
analyzed. The classrooms, despite being spacious, had several issues that affected the learning
environment. Broken windows and lack of proper ventilation led to unbearable temperatures during
electricity blackouts. Although the classrooms were decorated with charts, the walls were dirty with
peeling paint, and the charts themselves appeared outdated. Additionally, the absence of curtains or
shades allowed direct sunlight to stream into one of the classrooms, 5B, and potentially causing
discomfort for students.
