CONSUMER RIGHTS

Rights to safety: The Right to Safety is one of the fundamental rights of consumers. It
means that consumers have the right to be protected against the marketing of goods
and services which are hazardous to life and property.

Right to information: Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, Indian consumers
are entitled to the Right to be Informed also described as the Right to Information.

Right to choose: The Right to Choose is one of the most important rights guaranteed
to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. It ensures that consumers
have the freedom to choose from a variety of products and services at competitive
prices, without any pressure or unfair restrictions.

Right to be heard: The Right to Be Heard ensures that every consumer has the right
to voice their concerns, complaints, and opinions about products or services

Right to redressal: The Right to Redressal gives consumers the legal right to seek
compensation or remedy when they are wronged by unfair trade practices, defective
goods, or poor services.

Right to consumer education: The Right to Consumer Education means that every
consumer has the right to know about their rights and responsibilities. It ensures that
consumers are aware of how the market works, how to protect themselves, and
where to go for help in case of problems.
