Dear Students,
You are required to complete a creative English project titled “Memory Map
Journal” as your summer holiday assignment.

Task:
Choose five meaningful objects from your home. For each object, write a
short memory, emotion, or story connected to it. Present your journal
beautifully using creative elements such as sketches, drawings, photos, or
decorations.

Your Journal Must Include:

1. Cover Page / Front Page – with:

• Your Name, Class, Roll Number
• Subject: English
• Submitted To: (Teacher’s Name)
2. Table of Contents
3. One full page for each object (minimum 5 pages of content)

Presentation Tips:
• Use a scrapbook, handmade journal, or decorated A4 sheets.
• Handwriting should be neat; creative elements are encouraged.
• Originality and effort will be highly valued.
2. SOCIAL SCIENCE Poster/Chart Preparation:

Create posters/charts highlighting the importance of conservation of any two

resources mentioned (land, water, and wildlife). Include flow charts,
diagrams, crafts and images to make it visually appealing.

Poster/Chart Preparation tips:

Choose any two resources of your choice out of three options given. One
chart paper & divide it into two equal halves to make the poster.
 Land Resources:
● Importance of land for agriculture, industry, and human settlements
● Impact of land degradation, erosion, and deforestation
● Conservation measures: sustainable agriculture practices,
afforestation, and land reclamation

Water Resources:
● Importance of water for human consumption, agriculture, and
industry
● Impact of water pollution, over-extraction, and climate change
● Conservation measures: water harvesting, efficient irrigation
systems, and wastewater treatment

Wildlife Resources:
● Importance of wildlife for ecosystem balance, biodiversity, and
human well-being
● Impact of habitat destruction, poaching, and climate change
● Conservation measures: protected areas, wildlife corridors, and
sustainable tourism

Design Tips:
1. Use eye-catching pictures, visuals, diagrams, and charts to illustrate
key points.
2. Keep the text concise and easy to read.
3. Use colors and fonts that are visually appealing and consistent
throughout the poster/chart.
4. Make sure to include headings, subheadings, and bullet points to
organize the content.

3. MATHEMATICS Design a Dream Playground

Project: Design a Dream Playground

Objective:
To apply mathematical concepts, such as geometry and measurement, to
design a playground, calculating area, perimeter.

Task:
1. Design the playground: Use graph paper & chart paper to design a
playground in 2D format (graphical & drawing representation) including
features like example swings, slides, and climbing structures. Or you can
make a football or basketball court as well.
2. Calculate area and perimeter: Calculate the area and perimeter of the
playground and its individual features.
3. Present your design: Create a visual presentation i.e chart poster to
showcase your design
 Mathematical Concepts:
1. Geometry: Apply geometric shapes, such as rectangles, triangles, and
circles, to design playground features.
2. Measurement: Calculate area, perimeter, and volume of playground
features.
3. Scale and proportion: Use scale and proportion to represent the
playground design accurately.

Tips:
1. Be creative: Think about the safety, accessibility, and fun aspects of the
playground. Make it visually appealing.
2. Use real-world data: Research and use real-world data on playground
design.
3. Collaborate: Work with classmates to share ideas and learn from each
other.

This project encourages students to apply mathematical concepts to a real-

world scenario, developing problem-solving skills and creativity.
4. SCIENCE Topic: Conservation of Plants and Animals

Question 1:
Write 3 to 4 pages on the topic – "Conservation of Plants and Animals."

Instructions for Students:

In this part of the project, you must write a detailed explanation (in 3–4
pages) about the conservation of plants and animals.

What to include in your writing?

1. Introduction to Conservation:
• Define what conservation means.
• Why is conservation important?

Mention how human activities like deforestation, pollution, hunting, and

urbanization are harming plants and animals.

2. Need for Conservation:

• Discuss endangered and extinct species (give examples like the
dodo, cheetah in India, etc.).
• Importance of biodiversity and balanced ecosystems.

3. Steps Involved in Conservation:

• Reforestation and afforestation
• Banning hunting and poaching
• Creation of wildlife sanctuaries, national parks, and biosphere
reserves
 • Legal measures
• Awareness campaigns and education
• Captive breeding and rescue centres
• Use of seed banks and gene banks

4. Role of National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries:

• Define National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuaries.
• Their objectives and how they protect flora and fauna.
• Mention a few famous national parks and what species they protect
(like Kaziranga for rhinoceros, Sundarbans for tigers).

Tips:
• Use subheadings, bullet points, and paragraph breaks.
• Underline key terms and definitions.
• You may draw small pictures of trees, animals, or symbols to make it
visually appealing.

Question 2:
Map Work – Draw a Hand-Drawn Map of India and Mark 5 National Parks

Instructions for Students:

• Take an A4 size sheet and hand-draw the map of India (you can trace
or use a stencil if needed).
• Mark 5 important National Parks from different parts of India.
• National Parks to be marked

What to include in your map:

• Clearly label the National Parks in their correct locations.
• Use colored dots or animal symbols to indicate parks.

Include a reference box (legend) at the bottom of the map with:

• Serial number
• Name of the National Park
• State

Tips:
• Use a ruler for borders and labeling.
• Neatly write the names with black/blue ink.
• Add a title at the top: “National Parks of India”
