against a vertical wall. If the
foot of the ladder is 6 m away
from the wall, find the height
of the point on the wall where
the ladder touches. If the
ladder slides down such that
the foot is now 8 m away
from the wall, find how much
the ladder has slipped down.

of water. This water is poured
into a cylindrical vessel of

height of water in the

24 cm is melted and recast
into a solid sphere. Find the
radius of the sphere and also
find the ratio of the curved
surface area of the cone to the
surface area of the sphere.
