 Why did you choose to become an English teacher?

 What are your future goals for this type of position, is it something you are aiming to
do long term?

 What age groups are you interested in teaching and why?

 Can you describe any experience you have had up until now? What was your
experience and did you feel comfortable in what you were expressing?

 Have you had any experience in lesson planning? If so, what methodology was used?
How do you plan to adapt to specific needs within the classroom?

 Have you had experience with young students ages 3+?

 Have you had experience with students who may need special attention due to extra
needs?

 How do you intend on balancing work, studies (if applicable), social life and family
life?

 What is your current availability? What would be your ideal timetable?

 This position involves flexibility and energy, as well as creativity, are you able to
provide these attributes?

 Are you comfortable solely using the English language within the classroom? (Some
exceptions with younger students and explanations, minimal use of Spanish)

 Lesson planning is crucial; it takes time to perfect and complete. Is this something you
can commit to? (Planning during out of work hours is often necessary when teaching)

 What type of hourly rate are you expecting within this position?

 Can you demonstrate how you would manage behavioural issues within the
classroom?
