The diagram demonstrates the change in number of people using parcel delivery services of two major
mail delivery companies FedEx and TNT over 8 decades since 1920.

Overview:

In general, a spectacular change in the priority of choosing mail delivery company can be seen from the
diagram. While FedEx showed a slightly increase, TNT indicated a phenomenal growth in the number of
packages delivered, especially in the 1980s, become the preferred company of the two companies.

The red line in the graph represents the number of parcels delivered by FedEx over 80 years, from 1920
to 2000. In 1920, FedEx started with around 15,000 parcels, which saw a sharp rise to approximately
25,000 by 1940. However, after this peak, there was a significant decline, with deliveries dropping to
about 12,000 in 1950. Between 1950 and 1960, the number of parcels remained fairly stable, fluctuating
slightly before gradually rising again to approximately 18,000 in 1980. From 1980 to 2000, the number
of deliveries slightly decreased, ending the period at approximately 17,500 parcels. Overall, FedEx's
deliveried parcels were on a gentle rise ,from 15,000 in 1920 to around 17,500 by 2000, despite periods
of decline and recovery.
