Philippines Seismic Risk Reduction and Resilience Project (PSRRRP) – Firm 4
Purpose: To impart the latest building, earthquake engineering and seismic retrofitting technologies that are relevant and beneficial to the implementation
of the project.
Objectives: 1. To introduce advanced Japanese seismic retrofitting technologies and innovatve structural solutions applicable to the Philippine context.
2. To equip UPMO-BSPMC personnel, along with engineers from BOD and BOC, with the technical knowledge necessary to evaluate, review, and
approve the use of such technologies;
3. To enhance participants' capabilities in seismic retrofitting deisgn, project planning, and implementation decision-making.
4. To provide exposure to international standards, policies and best practices, including those related to building codes and seismic risk
mitigation.
5. To align design assumptions, methodologies, and parameters among consultants and government officers to ensure consistency and informed
decision-making during project implementation.
Requirements for 1. Full attendance on all sessions
Certificates: (attendance is taken every day in the morning and after lunch).
2. Proper completion of the worksheet for session 1-1 to 3-4
