Q.1. Tawara school uses both the internet and an intranet.
Describe four disadvantages to students of using the internet compared with an
intranet.
Using the internet instead of an intranet can be a disadvantage for students
because it often contains distractions like social media, and it can also cause
security risks such as viruses and scams. Information on the internet may be
unreliable, unlike the intranet, which is checked and curriculum-based. Also,
internet access can be slower and have connectivity issues, while intranet systems
are usually faster and more stable within the school.

Q.3. One of the parents in the family works for a government department and
sends sensitive data from their home computer to the office. The data is
encrypted before being sent to ensure it is harder to understand if it is intercepted.
Describe three other preventative measures that could be taken to avoid network
security issues.
ans= Set strong passwords with two-factor authentication to prevent hacking, and
install regularly updated antivirus software to protect against malware.

Q.4. Bluetooth and WiFi can connect devices together. Discuss the advantages
and disadvantages of using Bluetooth or WiFi.
ans= Bluetooth and WiFi both connect to devices wirelessly. Bluetooth is simple
to use, and is ideal for short-range connections such as linking phones to
speakers or connecting wireless keyboards and headphones. It is also secure for
personal use. However, Bluetooth has a short range, usually up to 10 meters, and
its data transfer speed is slow, so it is not suitable for large files. WiFi can cover
a much larger area, connect many devices at once, and offer high-speed data
transfer, making it better for internet browsing, streaming, and file sharing. The
disadvantages are that WiFi consumes more battery power, and it can face
security risks or interference if too many devices are connected.
