●Positive Influence in the enterprise from China’s Business Environment
●China’s Electric Vehicles Sector Push:
- Policy Incentives: Chinese government has heavily supported the
development of the electric vehicle industry by subsidizing, offering tax breaks
and implementing favourable policies.
- Large Domestic Market: China is the world’s largest market for electric
vehicles. This provides CATL with a huge costumer base domestically, which then
allows it to scale, reduce costs and improve competitiveness.

●Negative Influence in the enterprise from China’s Business Environment
●Market Saturation: There are a lot of companies that took advantage of the
same benefits available to CATL fueling intense competition. This competition
can trigger price wars reducing profit margins and increase pressure to innovate.

●Intellectual Property Challenges: China’s intellectual property laws might not be


sufficient to protect CATL’s IP. This is especially important for a high-tech
company focused on innovation.

●Geopolitical Tensions: As CTL plans to expand internationally it will be subject to


challenging geopolitical landscape, which is being caused by trade wars and
tensions between China and other major economies.

●Dependency on Global Supply Chains: CATL is heavily dependent on essential


raw material, e.g. lithium and cobalt. Inflation might affect the price of the raw
