Script: CONCERN OF THE ENVIRONMENT
NARRATOR: Once upon a time, there’s an island- a bountiful one with
beautiful creatures living on it. The island become a habitat of these
creatures, called indios. They created a harmony community, build
relationship, and made a living within the premises of the island. Indios lives
to their fullest through the island’s blessing, and Datu Malakas leads his
people in terms of their living, however an unexpected occurance disturbs the
living of the many leading them to have great loss of their resources.
FISHER MAN 1: Stop, I have a good intuition that this area have fishes, drop
the net!
(Fisher men drops the net)
FISHER MAN 2: (Pulls the net) Bad, a bad one! Still there’s no fishes… it’s
been days since we caught a fish.
FISHER MAN 3: What is this?? (gets something into the net)
FISHER MAN 2: Our trash?
FISHER MAN 1: We must head back to the village and report this to the datu,
this is a bad one.
(ARRIVED IN THE ISLAND)
(Walks on the way to the datu)
Fisher mans: Datu (Bows)
Datu: Have you caught fishes now?
Fisher 1: Unfortunately (shows the trash) this is only we caught.
Fisher 3: It’s sad to say but our sea was filled with this alien things.
Fishes 2: what should we do datu?
Datu: We-
Datu’s Daughter: We need to do something with that! We should capture
those things and recycle it!
Datu: what are you saying? You are talking nonsense..
Daugther: No father, that’s what I have been studied..
Datu: studied?
Fisher man 1: I agree to your daughter-
Villiger 1: Datu (Bows) WE ARE CURSED!
Datu: what do you mean? Talk directly..
Villager 2: Look at the crops! The sea! We are not able to have good crops
thesedays, its been a while since I have eaten a good one.
Villager 3: Here, this is the recent crop I harvest and it’s not in a good
condition.
Villager 4: My son! He was also cursed, he is sick he can’t eat, he said his
stomach aches! The water source was filled with nasty materials..
Daughter: Father, we must do something, hear me please, father..
Datu: (Looks into the eyes of his people) I-I… I will hear my daughter first.
Daughter: Thank you father… HEAR YE! As a daughter of your datu, follow
me and I will lead you. I have a great plan to restore the serenity of our
beloved island. Will you join me?
All: YES!
Villiger: How? How can we restore it? It is impossible now since our island
was in distress….
Duaghter: Believe me, we can restore it let us gather and step on the change
today.
Datu: Will you able do it?
Daughter: Yes, father, I know what I’m doing.
NARRATOR: Then so, the datu’s daughter leads it’s people for a change. She
shared her thoughts to the every citizens. She teaches her people to plant
trees with the seedling they have kept.
Villager: Here, this is the only seedling I have, but I know it will grow as a
strong tree..
Daughter: Thank you, now plant your seeds everyone.
NARRATOR: She also sails with the fishermen, together with their villagers.
Hand-by-hand they caught every toxic materials on the sea.
Days, Months, and a year pass by. The trees slowly grows. Sea restores it’s
beautiful glistening blue color and fishes reproduced. Thanks to the datu’s
daughter. Their water resource came from the sea had cleaned, crops grow in
healthy state. The Island’s resources regain it’s bountiful blessings.
Datu: How was the state of our island?
Villager: I can say our island became more tranquil than ever… you daughter
saves us from the curse..
Datu: I know.. She did well, we must celebrate this change!
Daughter: I AM ON IT! LET US CELEBRATE OF OUR SUCCESS IN SAVING
OUR MOTHER ISLAND!
NARRATOR: And the citizen’s of the island had celebration filled with
laughter's, singing and dancing as the island recovered from the cursed they
have believed.
Later on the daughter become their new leader, which makes the citizen
happier.
Daughter: Help me everyone to maintain the beauty, health, and serenity of
our beloved island, I can’t do this alone, because of your concern and helping
hand, together we restored what ours- put end in the curse and lived fullest
again. Will you, help me?
All: YES!
NARRATOR: As the new datu leads its community, no curse have ever occur
again in their island. As they learn to recyle their trash-manage their waste,
plant new trees after cutting some, and maintains the cleanliness of the
waters. A new era had began, and they live happily and bountifully.
