Content Writing Intern | Assignment

Instructions:

●​ Please complete the two tasks given below.

●​ Please do not use ChatGPT or any other AI-based writing software to write your
assignment.

○​ A note on our AI content policy: Once you join us, we do not discourage the
use of AI content generators (in particular scenarios and with full disclosure) as
long as the content you produce meets our quality requirements (factually
correct, useful, engaging, etc). However, the purpose of this assignment is for us
to learn about your individual strengths as a writer – so we urge you to only
submit content you have written yourself here. We will check your submission for
AI-generated content, and your application will be rejected immediately if we find
any.

●​ Share your submissions in a Google Docs document with the sharing permission set to
“Anyone with the link can view/comment”.

Task 1
Please see the two options A and B below and select ANY ONE to work on for your first task.
Option A: Write a video script
●​ Write the script for a 60-90 second video (around 150-240 words) explaining how you
can identify the right demographics for your Facebook ads.

●​ Use a conversational style, speaking directly to the viewer.

●​ Explain your point(s) with the help of at least one example of a business that is looking to
reach its target audience through Facebook ads. In your example, consider factors like
the target audience’s age, location, gender, profession, etc. You can also talk about how
these might change in different scenarios.

●​ Note: We don’t need to explain the technical process and steps in this video. The goal of
this video is to teach people to think carefully about their audience’s persona so that they
can understand how to correctly target their ads.

Option B: Write website copy


●​ Write 200-300 words of website copy for a brand called EasyLease.

●​ EasyLease is a UK-based company that provides hassle-free car leasing solutions to


people with poor credit. Your website copy should showcase their key offering:
no-deposit car leasing.

●​ Your web copy should be concise, attractive and well-structured. Avoid long blocks of
text. Think about how your words will be displayed on the page, and how you can use
different elements (sliders, bullet lists, etc) to make your text easy to skim.

●​ Use UK English.

●​ Aim for a friendly and approachable but professional tone (here is an example:

●​ Your copy must include:

○​ A descriptive heading and subheading

○​ A section highlighting the 3 main benefits of no-deposit car leasing with


EasyLEase
