CP Overview Script

Before we go over how the planning is done within our tool, I wanted to briefly show you our Admin
Menu. The Foundation Data area is where all of your company information comes together and we will
work with you to establish the rules and permissions for the different user access. Additionally, we
offer the ability to customize the text you see throughout the platform in the Interface section so that
there is more familiar planning terminology used for your groups.

Within the Audit section you'll have general audit logs that show you who's logged in, who's
generated their workbook or executed reports. This enables you to also run a Manager review status
report so you can see where everybody is in the planning process.

Ok, now I’m going to walk you through what it would look like as a manager. In this example I’m the
System Admin and I will go ahead and proxy in as Thomas, the lowest level manager.
Please keep in mind, everything you see regarding visibility and user-rights will be to your
requirements.
When logged in, Thomas lands on a page where he can see the teams/groups he can plan for and can
see where the plans are in the process.
Here shows if the current plan is open for edits.
When I choose the group, I can choose to view the workbook in the browser or download it from the
site and open in Excel.

For today’s demo, I will open in the browser where I can then make changes and submit to the next
manager.

PLANNING MENU- Thomas

At a glance, this is intended to bring a familiar feel. We want your team to need the least amount of
training necessary. These columns can have whatever data needed to make decisions, making the
planning view unique to each user. The highlighted fields are where edits can be made. Any field not
highlighted is cell protected.
You’ll see a few columns with red tabs, they indicate mouse-over information where we can see year-
by-year history for salary and performance ratings history, along with an audit trail for any change
made on a cell. If an employee is outside of recommendations, you can have the options to enforce a
hard stop or allow the change, where you see it appears red, usually reasoning for a change outside
of recommendation would be required, so we added a comment section for direct communication.
Remember the columns are going to be edited to your preferences to allow for complete
customization. You can see Thomas can plan for Merit where we can easily use this tab to change from
an AMT to a percent. The entire time changes are made, a budget header will be displayed here for
quick reference.

This particular workbook is planning for Merit, a section for market adjustment, ability for lump-sum
adjustments, along with promotions with job title data along with proration options and a
Performance Based Incentive Program.
I wanted to show you additional components to show our flexibility but keep in mind, we’ll only be
adding your desired data so your view will be completely customized.
When I’m done making changes I can save and submit this workbook to the next reviewer. Once I’ve
submitted, I can no longer make edits.

Next I will proxy in as Thomas’ manager, Robert.

Robert plans for 10 different groups, so I can come to the Insights menu where I can see a clean, easy-
to-read, Review status on each manager and where they are in the process to get that precise
visibility.

Let’s say Robert is about to be traveling with no internet access, I can download the workbook
Thomas completed, along with any other plan I would like to add to my view, bring onto a protected
Excel file to review and am able to work while offline and see any changes Thomas previously
submitted. After making the desired changes, I can then save the file and can submit through an
upload when I am back online.

I also have the option to reject the plans and send back to Thomas with a text box to add a message.
Or make the changes myself. When this is uploaded, the information will be updated and sent to the
next manager and locked for Robert. The next manager would have the option to view on browser or
download as well.

Instead of walking you through another workbook, just know regardless of offline or online, when the
changes are submitted, they’re updated in the system.

Any questions?

Next, we’ll take a look at Reports.

By clicking Reports, I can see the options to select from, such as Budget Summary Report or Manager-
Review status

And I can download a PDF of a Compensation Statement. These letters will be automated and
personalized. You can have the additional option to have any employees log-in and virtually access
their statement and have a sign off to confirm it’s been viewed or you can deliver it personally.

In addition to Compensation Statements, we also offer Total Rewards Statements.

This template opens with an appreciation message from management, next we have visuals for
rewards, including incentives, equity, and benefits like retirement and insurance.
Next are stock options, if applicable, following a paid time off section in addition to more information
regarding insurance and benefits. Any benefit not given to an employee would be hidden from view
rather than showing empty values.
Lastly, a section with company values and summary information to highlight unique benefits that
your company offers.
That is a quick overview, I hope that helps show some of the utility and how we can ease a lot of the
manual labor that comes with planning in Excel.
