Scope of Work:
This Procedure covers the Installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of 6 cold rooms.
Purposes
The purpose of this method Statement is to define the method of installation and inspection of
ground floor employee lounge kitchen equipment’s, back of house and front of house bar

Safety
Prior to commencing any activity, the labor force shall receive a toolbox talk on the project site
safety regulations. Any process that is adopted that may have a particular safety risk will be
assessed and addresses as required.
Management responsibility
Site Engineer
AWAL site engineer shall be responsible for the following:
Coordinate all the site activities required for the installation and testing of units
according to project specification/contractual documents, manufacture data
sheet.
Check and receive all provisions from site representatives of Company and the
main contractor according to approved AWAL shop drawing and coordinate with
safety procedures with site supervisors.
Coordinate and explain the work to be carried out to the supervisors.
Co-ordinate with the QA/QC Engineer to advise for the areas to be raised for
inspection.
Site Foreman
AWAL site Foreman shall be responsible for the following:
He will execute the installation works according to the approved shop drawings
and manufacturer's recommendations. He will coordinate with crew on
implementation of safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures at the site. He
will ensure that the relevant PPE's are used by the crew at the site.

Method statement
1- Mobilization:
1.1- Mobilization of the cold room panels, units, and installation materials at the site.
1.2- Inspection and arrangement of each cold room separately.
1.3- Storage place must be dry and safe.
2- Installation and cold-room assembly:
2.1- The surface of the floor which is located on the wall panels borders must be cleared and
leveled by the main contractor so the alignment of the cold room can be granted. (By The
Main contractor).
2.2- Fixing the U channels on the borders of the cold room.
2.3- Installing the cold-room wall panels on the U-channels.
2.4- Installing the ceiling panels.
2.5- Fixing the aluminum L- angels inside room corners except the flooring.
3- Floor works:
3.1- Waterproof insulation to be done inside the cold room, the layer must be attached to the
cold-room wall panels (The height of the attached area must not exceed the FFL inside the
cold room). (By The main contractor)
3.2- 50 mm XPS Panels to be placed on the waterproof floor.
3.3- Placing the polyethylene sheets above the XPS and pouring the BRC screed. (By The Main
contractor).
3.4- Pouring self-leveling compound. (By The main contractor)
3.5- Floor Finishing with vinyl or epoxy as the last layer. (By The main contractor)
3.6- Fixing the floor corners aluminum angels.
3.7- Silicon works.
4- Refrigeration system works:
4.1- Installing the evaporators inside rooms.
4.2- Install the drain pipes and get it outside the cold room to the nearest possible drain point
(ARRANGING WITH MAIN CONTRACTOR).
4.3- Fixing the condenser units on each place that was selected before.
4.4- Install control panels and wiring.
4.5- Installing the accessories items in units (filters dryer, sight glass, solenoid valve…etc.)
4.6- Pipe extension line and electrical wires.
4.7- Pressure testing for the pipeline and system by nitrogen @400psi
4.8- Insulate the pipes and make a vacuum for systems.
4.9- Refrigerant Charging.
5- Testing and commissioning.
5.1- adjustable the set temperature and parameters.
5.2- Monitoring the conditions of cold rooms for 48HR.
